  • KINGDOM COME is a sweeping apocalyptic adventure colored with tragedy, longing, and hope, featuring a determined, brave heroine we can all root for. The pictures Michelle Smith painted won't leave my mind or my heart any time soon.Kerrigan Monroe is crazy - or so she thinks. When the visions in her head become real, she realizes, along with her fellow mental hospital patients, that the apocalypse is now, brought on my a power-hungry brother she never knew she had. She is the only one who can ope [...]

  • A little uneven, with insta-love and an ending that was mostly apparent about half-way through, this was a good first effort for a new author. I liked Kerrigan's voice. She's a likable heroine, labeled as crazy because of her dreams and her reactions to them, even though she's not. I also very much liked the world the author built, and the plot that goes with it.As an apocalyptic novel, this book shines. The author's writing flows very well, though it's a little uneven in certain spots, especial [...]

  • First let me start by giving Michelle Smith a standing ovation for keeping me up at night and ignoring my chores, books that can do that are the reason I read.I loved this story for several reasons, the first was the world building, it was smooth and realistic. The story takes you on an epic, heartbreaking journey with five troubled teens and a doctor trying to survive the apocalypse. The characters are unforgettable, and completely three-dimensional, I laughed (mostly because Danny.) I cried, a [...]

  • I was very fortunate to be asked by the author to not only read the first draft but also make the book cover.Trust me when I say I have no bias towards this book, as Michelle knows I can be brutally honest in my opinions, so when I give this book a 5 and say that I truly do love it, I ain't lying.I received a kindle copy the day it was first released, I spent that night forgoing sleep so I could see what changes had been made and what turns went the other way from when I last read it. It's an ex [...]

  • Kingdom Come was a fascinating story about the Apocalypse. "Crazy Kerrigan" has been having nightmares that eventually land her in a mental hospital for teenagers. Though, rather quickly, she sees her nightmares come to fruition. This story had the type of heroine I like to read about. She's strong, determined, brave, and holds true to her beliefs even when faced with what appear to be overwhelming odds. The story is well-paced and keeps the reader turning to the next page. This book was a solid [...]

  • I loved Kerrigan. The voice is wonderful! It's a fantastic thriller with some romance and intrigue that makes the story move quickly. I'm not a big apocalypse, end-of-days kind of girl but this story held my attention. I thought it was a quick, fun read! I'd rec to anyone who likes a good escape fiction. Would make an awesome beach read!

  • Nope, cannot finish."Danny swung our hands between us"I couldn't make it past this line, this part. She was in the institution for 1 day. 1 DAY and was bullied by this Danny kid, but once the world is ending it is okay for them to swing their hands in bliss, even though she is already pining over Ethan. Nor for me.

  • I know that this this book is written for a younger audience but I enjoyed it all the same. The characters felt real and the dialog was natural. I did however, feel like it ended a little too quickly. But I'm still telling all my friends and family about it!

  • I am not a YA!But I couldn't quit reading this book! Michelle Smith gave me a whole new picture. I hope we see more of Kerrigan's journey.
